Srikanth P. Srinivas, former Deputy Editor of Business World, has joined Adfactors PR as Senior Vice-President, Public Affairs – responsible for policy research, programme development and strategic communications. Mr Srinivas joining Adfactors PR is an important step in the firm’s efforts in strengthening its public affairs practice.
Mr Srinivas, a banker-turned-journalist with a career spanning more than 30 years, is widely acknowledged for his in-depth knowledge on the financial services sector, economic policy and development (strategy and advisory), and the workings of the corporate world.
He had a long and illustrious career in editorial positions at several leading media institutions, including The Economic Times and the Business Today, before joining the World Bank at a senior role. He left the World Bank in 2007, before joining Business World in July of that year.
Mr Srinivas has had a wide exposure in public policy during his decade-long association with the World Bank. He served as a Consultant for the Europe and Central Asian region during 2006-2007, and for International Policy and Partnerships Group during 2004-2005. Prior to that, he was a Senior Corporate Strategy Officer, and Assistant to the President of the World Bank, James Wolfensohn. He holds two Masters degrees – one from the prestigious Princeton University (Public Policy) and the other in Financial Management from Mumbai’s Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
